    Hi

I have a question about netapp monitoring.

I have seen two different probes for monitoring netapp devices.

One called netapp probe (in the config pronto directory from the complete download file)

    What does this do?

One called snmptable with a netapp config  ( again in the config ponto directory in the complete download file)

    This looks at space utilisation

Has anyone done anything else with SNMP on netapp devices?

    Any help gratefully received.

I know that the netapp probe was developed by Richard Hirst and I believe the snmptable one was also developed by him. Not sure he's on the internal SE forum, but ping him and if you get any answers, let us know. There's docs in both folders in the complete download package that explain a little more indepth what each can do. As far as I can tell, the netapp probe is a little more powerful than snmptable-netapp since snmptable-netapp is just an extensions of snmptable. Richard can probably give a better answer.
