MSSQL Database with Linux

Checking the compatibility Matrix I found no restrictions regarding using MSSQL 2008 R2 with NMS running on CentOS, but when installing through console mode it only gives me the option of Oracle or MySQL. On the installation guide as well it only pairs MSSQL with Windows.

However when using silent install, and passing the mssql option for database it seems to install correctly on the database stage, but hangs later on the following message:

I/O error on nim session (C) com.nimsoft.nimbus.NimClientSession@41b5c488

qos_processor started
2013/08/22 15:33:17
Starting audit
Sending probe_activate with sid = 4anf5... timeout = 30000

My question is:

1) Is the CentOS NMS + MSSQL pair really not supported? The customer has a big preference for MSSQL and saw it with no restrictions on the product compatibility matrix.

2) Is this error related somehow to the database?

Thanks in advance for any tips,
