What ACL permissions need to be in place for a user to install a robot on a server?

    Hi,

Do you mean through automatic deployment engine? If I remember correctly there's a specific item in the Nimbus ACL for that. Normal installers don't naturally require Nimbus permissions.

    No,

I mean when I use nimldr and am prompted for a username and password I get this error.

We need to log in to NMS to query the Archive
    Enter Nimsoft username and password...
    Username: unixadmin
    Password:
sorry, login to Nimsoft system failed...

I believe the minimum you need is "Distribution"

    Good morning.

I believe that what the Linux installer routine is requesting is your Infrastructure Manager credentials, so it can retreive the install_LINUX_23_64 package to start the Robot installation.

Make sure that the correct file resides whithin the archive where you are trying to retreive it from (NMS server, secondary HUB's or even from the client Relay (HUB).
