I have several agents in my inventory, but I'm not managing to do a deploy for this agents. The check box of the function deploy is not available.
You probably haven't discovered them with WMI/SSH credentials. You need to add WMI credentials to the scope in order to deploy Windows servers through ADE and SSH credentials to deploy to unix machines. After adding the credentials to the scope, you need to run the discovery for those scopes.
Also make sure WMI / SSH discovery methods are enabled in your discovery_agent deployments.
Can you please attach some screenshots maybe to help us understand what your try to deploy where?
Hey Jon, thank you very much for your help. Been very appreciated. Now the check box to deploy of the agent became available. But, now I have a new problem. Although the manager of Nimsoft has the capacity resolve the names of my servers, when I try deploy the agent I'm receiving the follow error:
The network name cannot be found jcifs.smb.SmbTransport.checkStatus(SmbTransport.java.563).
I'd check the eventlog on the server you're deploying to and maybe the server you're deploying from as well. In many cases with ADE problems stuff shows up there.
There has been a lot of problems especially deploying to windows servers newer than 2003 (mostly to do with authentication if I remember correctly. Some issue with old java libraries being used I think). The latest versions were supposed to fix those issues, but not sure if that is really the case. Don't remember if this is one of the error messages related to those problems, though. A quick google suggests that it might be.
