Looking for instructions to do a complete uninstall of a robot in Linux. Why can I not find this anywhere?
What we have used to uninstall is a script that basically kills any processes nimbus_install or processes nimbus then removes the /opt/nimbus or /opt/nimsoft directories recursively. You may also use the /opt/nimsoft/bin/inst_init.sh remove to remove the auto start init entry.
With this being said, the Nimsoft documentation references the following:
Linux and Solaris
Follow these steps:
where <NMS_install_dir> is the directory where NMS was installed (default is /opt/nimsoft).
uninstall -i console
Note: For Linux and Solaris, no other uninstall approach is advised.
In additon to drafn's response, if you used rpm you can do
rpm -qa | grep nim
to get the name of the rpm you used to install and then
rpm -e <rpm name>
