Does anyone know if it's normal behavior for the Dirscan probe to check every single file in a directory to identify the file count of a folder? For example, I have a folder with over 50000 files... It appears the dirscan probe identifies ALL files in that folder (in the log file, it gives info about file size, file name etc even though I'm just interested in pure count). I tested a different folder where it counted all the files, but the log file only showed info on about 4 files when there was about 150 files in the folder. My problem is its taking quite a while to check the folder with 50000 files, so long it messes with my interval for checking files. Anyone have any experience with this type of behavior?
