Does anyone could send nas alarms to cell phones using a clickatell service?
I'm not familiar with Clickatell, but looking at their web site, they provide several means of accessing their service. Most likely the easiest would be to set up an email account with them and use emailgtw: http://www.clickatell.com/apis-scripts/apis/smtp/. You could create a custom message template to suit your needs.
Also HTTPS would probably be pretty easy to set up: http://www.clickatell.com/apis-scripts/apis/http-s/. I don't remember what callbacks url_response provides, but likely you could use NAS + LUA + url_response to send your messages as well.
I'd probably go for the SMTP if time was an issue, otherwise I might like to play with the SOAP api
I built a gateway to a similar service (x-on) using Perl and their SOAP API. I use nas rules to re-post events then pick them off a queue with a Perl probe and forward them using the API. With the X-On system a user can acknowledge receipt of the message. I grab this and feed it back to one of the custom slots in the event.
Out of intrest, why did you go for reposting instead of having AO use callback? To reduce load on NAS?
I actualy repost by invoking a lua script with the alarm. My repost script enables me to enrich the alarm with additional slots and post it as a new message.
In this case the client wanted to add a support team to the alert so this is added to the message by me report script and then picked up by the gateway so the correct group get called out.
