net_connect disables icmp profile itself !? -> making SLA calculation worthless

After problems with net_connect 2.90 (diagnosed with a bug) we downgraded to version 2.82.  Now it appears net_connect 2.82 disables profiles itself when the specific configured host becomes unvailable (ie profile is icmp-only) ideactivates the specific profile. As a consequence it stops wirting Qos values and making the SLA calculations worthless. What do I wrong or what do I miss here?
