Message suppression with reboots

New to the Nimsoft paradigm so not sure where/how to do this....

Reboots create a lot of events with services stopping and starting, etc....

Is there an effective way to suppress or collapse messages that are the result of a reboot event, effectively leaving only the reboot event?

Something like service down alarms appear first but then the reboot event is detected and events recieved at T-5 minutes for example of when the server came back online are automatically auto-acked?  Or is this a custom policy we need to write?
