Does NIMID exist in pre-processing?

We would like to append the NIMID to the Message text for use as a reference in our ticketing system.  I am able to do this with an AO profile and LUA script.  However, when the alarm count increments the NIMID is removed from the message.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thank you.
