  • 1.  oracle Probe - Query

    Hi, 

     

    I dont know the oracle probe well, but my DBA team is saying they need to run a Oracle QUERY and I wnat to be able to store the data in QOS so I can display on a dashboard? how do I do it, I am sure its simple but i just keep hitting a wall.

    I believe the SQL_Response probe is what you are looking for here.

     

    From the help file:

     

    Monitoring System Requirements
     
    The sql_response probe allows the user to monitor response of user defined queries for Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, DB2 and Sybase databases.

    yep sqlresponse I believe you will need the clients for oracle on the machine where you put the sql response probe.

    You could also query the oracle Db direct from the dashboard (via the UMP server). If you set up a datasource in the dap on the UMP server to connect to the oracle db then you can use this in your dashboards.
