I would like to kknow if anyone had success on installing a second HUB.I want to know if I can setup the second one on Linux while my primary HUB is on Windows 2k3.
Absolutely, you can mix and match your hubs. The only restraint that Nimsoft places on where and what to put on software is that if your primary hub is one OS, then the OS of your UMP should be the same.
Otherwise I have installed mixed hubs and there is no issue with this.
Installing a simple hub can be as simple as dropping the hub probe onto a running robot and then adding the queues. For this Linux hubs are great.
Don't forget the queues or you want get any QoS, alarms, audit etc from the hub or any robots under it.
For a hub at the other end of a WAN link you may want to add the distsrv (distribution server) for more effificent distribution of packages.
If you are after a HA configuration then it is a little different, you will need HA probe, data_engine etc on the failover hub. In this case you will need windows if you are using MS-SQL for your Nimsoft data.
