Let's say you want to create a list viewer with each host has a drilldown that linked to PRD template. How do I create the dynamic template?
When you create a report, create a filter for exactly what you want for qos and put in a "AND SOURCE IS" and put whatever you want in the filter.
When you click on the link it changes the <whatever> source to the clicked link and shows the report for that server.
Nimsoft uses "apollo.nimsoft.no" for theirs but I don't believe it matters.
Usually for me it is because I didn't get the report name and the Drilldown Report exactly right and it can't find the report you specified.
I forget capital letters or fat finger the name or something.
As soon as the report is in there and you hit the apply button, the anchor column should change all the names to hyperlinks. One side note, you can't follow a link in list designer, you have to go to a list viewer, though that doesn't sound like what your problem is, if it isn't even turning into a hyperlink.
Actually for me they turn the blue of hyperlinks as soon as I put anything in the Drilldown Report, even if it is wrong, and then hit the Apply button. Silly question, but have you hit Apply or saved the list?
Does anyone know if there is a way to replicate this functionality in Target mode?
I don't believe this works in Target mode maybe a feature request is needed.
FYI - I was able to get around this by installing the SNMPget 1.67 Beta. It allows you to use the Profile Name for the QoS source instead of the robot name. If you save your QoS this way, you can create Lists in "host" mode and take advantage of the dynamic PRDs.
Great find! That is a feature that probe has needed for a long time.
Is it just me, or does it look like snmpget 1.67 has been in beta for 9 months?
Yeah, looks like it's been stuck in beta for a while. I'll let you know if I can get an ETA from support.
