I just wonder how to execute a command or script, in nas configuration, that starts a batch file?
In the Auto Operator Profiles just choose the command to run a command any type of script/command. or script to run a script which will then look for the lua scripts from the nas. From within a lua script you can run commands as well. Not sure what your trying to do, but you can do either script or command from within the nas.
A Lua script is not mandatory to run a command. What error do you get?
FYI, there are dozens of examples of Lua scripts on this forum.
you will find in "profile.JPG" attachement, how I have configured the profile and in the "activity.jpg" attachment, the error I receive...
In your profile you are trying to run a script does that script exist in the nas script directory? You may need the complete path and for a bat file I believe you would use the command option. Script I believe is for nas lua scripts. Below is a example to execute a command and get the output of it, it's in a a function so you will need to call it with your command.
function cmdout (cmd) local f = io.popen(cmd) local lout = f:read("*a") f:close() return loutend
As Neal hinted, if you want to run an external command, you need to choose the command action type rather than script. The script action type is for scripts that can be interpreted directly by the NAS, which do not require an external process and must be written in Lua.
