Is there a way in Nimsoft to configure two queues with only one queue active at a time ?
Yes, you can disable queues without deleting them.
If you need that in some sort of "Automatic Mode" use the HA-Probe
Apologies for missing few details in my earlier post. I want both the queues on same hub so I can't use HA probe here. Also the switch I want is automatic instead of manual.
Specifically the situation is as follows. I am forwarding Nimsoft QoS data from one domain to another domain using post queue. The destination domain has hubs configured in HA using HA probe. That's why I want two post queues to originate from source hub for both hubs respectively however I want only one to be active at a time depending upon whichever hub is active at that time.
For that sort of redundancy, I think using an attach queue and get queues would work better than a post queue. Otherwise I think you will have to script the failover. The HA probe is the only means of automating hub failover as far as I know, and it only works between hubs.
The only reason I can't use attach and get queues is because they can't be used across different domains.
Sounds for me, like LUA :-) or something SDK'ish, and to implement it by yourself.
