Exchange 2010 "Copy Queue Length" and Database mount status

We use Exchange 2010 DB Availability Groups. We had had a storage issue recently where the log drive was intermittently disappearing from Exhange which caused the following behaviour:

- Exchange services are OK;

- The mail database is offline;

- The "copy queue length" for Exchange DAG replication became very large;

- The exchange_monitor probe does not report any problems (other than that counters go to zero) because database status is not pollled.

Does anyone know a means of monitoring either the "database mount status" or the DAG "copy queue length" parameters, other than by using ntevl?
