High Volume of alarms

I have just had a situation whereby I received approximately 22 alarms in Nimsoft but split across these which had been suppressed, were around 180,000 alarms all received in less than an hour. Our primary hub slowed to an absolute crawl running at 100% CPU.


Does anyone have anything on how Nimsoft would handle this volume of alarms, I am assuming that the sheer volume was what caused the performance issues on the primary hub. Does Nimsoft just log the one instance and somehow reference the number of that alarm received or does it try to log all of them?
