How to implement password aging, password complexity and change password at first logon policies for users created in Nimsoft and UMP ?
I don't believe this is possible. The only complexity you can have for native Nimsoft users (created in Infrastructure manager) is minimum 6 characters long passwords.
I believe it is the same for nimsoft "contact users", wheter they are created in IM or in UMPs account admin portlet.
If you hook up your login hub to a LDAP server such as AD or eDirectory, you can enforce the complexity there. But you can't change ldap passwords in NMS, so you can't get the "Must change on next login" feature.
Thanks for the information.
Is there any way from command line for user creation and also user enabling / disabling ? The way we will manually execute user disable command every 30 days (as an example) and ask the user to change the password through some web page where old and new password text boxes are there and we will execute user create (actually modification) command.
I am not sure. I have forwarded your question and pointing to this forum message to see if someone else knows what options you have.
This would be helpful for us as well to follow the correct security standards. I think all we have is the change password portlet.
I am hoping that this gets incorporated in future releases of NMS :-).
