DX Unified Infrastructure Management

Does anybody succeeded in using NMS 5 on a Linux CentOS 5.5 server with a MySQL database? Here we´re having trouble in putting it to work because data_engine probe cannot connect to the database and therefore keeps aborting after initial start...

I had it working with CentoOS 5.4.  What is the error in connecting to the database.  I don't think there should be that much differences in 5.4 - 5.5.

Thnx for answering. I am trying to rebuild my NMS server again and see if the problem still happens with a Oracle database connection.

I have installed nms server 5.11 on centos5.5 with mysql 5.1 (on a different host) and it works fine

you need to check your /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5

this file couldn't by a symbolic link to libstdc++.so.6 !!!! otherwise the system won't works

did you check this ?
