Probes that are configured on a Cluster are sending alarms that have the cluster ip address as the "hostname and source". Is there a way to have alarms from the active node only, or at least label the alarm in a way that it is more identifiable as opposed to the cluste ip?

The contents of the source field in an alarm are usually controlled by the probe.  Some probes allow you to change this behavior.  I am pretty sure that most probes do not exhibit this behavior on clusters, although some certainly do.  Perhaps it would help if you could be more specific about what alarms/probes you are having problems with?

I know the cdm probe does this for cluster disk alarms, but it has a
configuration setting to tell it whether to use the cluster name or
    IP.

I am getting this with the CDM disk errors, as well as all Exchange probe errors. I will take a look at CDM again to see if I find the setting you speak of.

Found the CDM cluster setting. Thanks
