Cleaning up Records

So, we are in a use case where host IPs are being reused because we are provisioning and de-provisioning VMs with the Nimbus agent.

What appears to be happening is that when a new VM is created it re-uses the computer name and/or doesn't update the old one with the new one.

Is there an API or way we can clean up the old records in the Nimbus database in a way that can be automatic? Conversely, is there a way we can "force" the upate of the computer name if need be?
