I think that question is a little bit too general for a forum like this. Hopefully we can point you in the right direction though.
How to setup a device in NimBUS depends a lot on how you want to monitor it. These are the most common probes you would use:
- Monitors the traffic going in and out of interfaces, including bandwidth, packets count, discards, errors, status (up/down), etc.
- Monitors common system statistics specific to Cisco hardware, like CPU, memory, fans, etc.
- Monitors any SNMP OIDs and includes a feature to browse the SNMP MIB on a device to make finding valuable OIDs easier.
All of these probes use SNMP, so you will need to enable that on your devices. Then I would recommend to just start playing with the probes to see what kind of data is available. You may also want to look through the probe help to give you an idea about how the GUIs work.
If you have specific questions after you start working with these probes, please let us know.
