    Hi there,
    we've an unknown alarm on Manager console:

    Severity: CRITICAL
    Message: Failed to create Player data connection
    Probe: (nothing)
    Subsystem: Host(1.1.1)

    Anyone does it means?

    Paolo,

    This error is generated by the dashboard_engine which is part of the
    Service Delivery Portal (SDP) - are you running the most current SDP, an upgrade may address this.


    That aside, to fix this error deactivate and then activate the Dashboard_Engine.

    thanks for your help. We've deactivated and then activated dashboard_engine and now all is OK.
    Can we modify this message to make it more readable?

    If that were an option (and I don't think it is...) you could do that through RAW Config (hold shift, right click on probe and open via RAW config).

    However, if it isn't present there (I cannot check right now, sorry) you could run a pre-processing rule on it to automatically convert the string to whatever you'd like via the NAS and a Lua script. Or, even simpler, once it hits the NAS/AutoOperator Profile, you could suppress (make this one invisible) and automatically create a new alarm with whatever text you'd like.
