  • 1.  Netware Proxy Probe: How Many Probes Can It Manage?

    Hi,

    We're about to implement Netware monitoring for a client, and I was asked how many individual probes could be managed by the proxy probe before performance issues arose.
     
    Does anyone with Netware-probe experience have an answer to this question?

    Clay,

    I've seen 10-30 per proxy.  The proxy is multi-threaded and is capable (at least by design :smileyhappy: of handling much more.

    In our environment, we have hubs with 40+ novell servers but then 41+ are in error.  We have noticed that if a hub proxy probe has "0" for proxy port for Netware/novell server, then those servers are in error - "Error contacting server". no data. cannot configure.
