We have a requirement to change default change my password screen of CA IDM.

Our client wants to have an additional validation to be presented to user while changing password.

Default Page of Change my Password comes with below options.

Change Password:

Confirm Change Password:

Requirement

Old Password (New Requirement on Change my password)

Change Password:

Confirm Change Password:

We are able to create another text filed and able to fetch the value entered by user in this field.

Using Javascript we also able to fetch user password from CA directory. But the password is returning as an encrypted.

So validation is failing.

Please help.

Hi All,

We were able to achieve this through |oldPassword| logical attribute of ConfirmPasswordHandler.

We modified the default screen for "Change My Password" task. We added a new field of style password and mapped attribute name property of this field to |oldPassword| value.

It did not require any extra scripting and configuration.

The |oldPassword| logical attribute provided by CA correctly validated the old password.
