Someone knows how can I delete unecessary devices in UIM. I mean, I organize my devices on USM. I would like to delete all devices that is not organized. Is that possible?
This (or something similar) should work for getting the cs_id for all systems that aren't in a group:
select cs.cs_id from cm_computer_system cs left join cm_group_member gm on cs.cs_id = gm.cs_id where gm.grp_id is null
There currently is no way from the USM GUI to delete those devices, but it can be done at the DB level. However, if your discovery scopes are also not updated, those devices can just come back again on the next discovery run. We do have plans to address this from with USM. One of the main driving IDEAS for this, which you may want to vote on, is the one for "decommissioning inventory and monitoring". One aspect of this is hide these devices, so they are known to system that they should not come back again.
Can you tell me how to do this by the database?
It depends on what version of UIM and discovery server you are running. There are knowledge based articles available for the various versions on the support.nimsoft.com site under the customer portal --> articles. For instance:
My UIM version is 8.1.
Do you know which query can I use to get all devices that isn't organized in my USM?
