As work gets done on more virtual services there seems to be an increasing ask to capture the benefits of all of the work we've done.
I'm wondering if there is a standard model which can be applied to creation of RoI metrics for performance and functional testing using virtual services.
We understand it has to be done on a case-by-case basis but after delivery of services we don't have an easy means to track exact # of use of a virtual service per month (ie. 2.5m transactions to service XYZ in Jan 2015)..
The database storing this information collects and captures the totals, so we have a great number nearing billions of transactions, but it might not be a reasonable statement to make that we have actually saved some sort of $ per txn value.
Is there any work being done to create an ongoing metric collection/capture solution for the VSE's use so that we can properly report on the true benefits of our services?
