   When the Primary SS is stopped it takes long time to switch over to secondary SS.Kindly suggest.

Hi you can set up the secondary SS to be in Hot Standby mode by adding in

secondary_polling=yes

to the .vnmrc file on the secondary SS.

there are also a warm and cold mode.

Have a read of the Distributed SpectroSERVER Administrator Guide, chapter 4: fault tolerance

I would check that your name resolution is all good -  DNS or hosts file.

Do you see: secondary_polling=yes in ,vnmrc file on the secondary server?

What does the wait_active filed in .vnmrc of secondary configured to?

Spectrum version?
