    Hi guys,

I was just wondering if there is a road-map available from CA regarding their support for the various dependencies?

e.g. at what point in the future will support for SQL 2008 be discontinued?

It's just that it may impact decision-making in our forthcoming 14.2 upgrade.

    Thanks.

CA typically presents road map in events and user group meetings and webinars and it is typically valid for the duration of those events as plans may always be changed.

    Attend one.

As far as SLQ server 2008 and v14.2 go you are out of luck if you are considering Jaspersoft. Jaspersoft only support SQL Server 2012 (or later)

    See the release documentation.

    Thanks urmas.

We are just concerned about the application upgrade for now and not so much with implementing Jaspersoft.

But, out of curiosity, when the time comes and we want to implement Jaspersoft.

We will want to separate the two Reporting solutions - CABI and Jaspersoft.

Can we create a new server instance for Jaspersoft with SQL Server 2012 and keep our database server on SQL Server 2008?

Will there be compatibilty issues or should we be looking to have SQL 2012 on both the database server and our Jaspersoft server?

Or perhaps a better way of phrasing the above:

Will the Data Warehouse process run from a SQL 2008 R2 source instance/DB to a SQL 2012 Data Warehouse DB?

    Hi CMCN1982,

Data ware house is part of CA PPM and its should work with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition: Any service pack.

    Hi CMCN1982,

You can have two database with different version but for easy maintenance, you can migrate CA PPM to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition: Any service pack as CA PPM as well as Jaspsoft supports Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
