Clarity PPM v14.2 MSP Interface Install

We are evaluating Clarity v14.2 and have upgraded a development instance from v13.3 to v14.2.   We want to test out the 'newly' created MSP Interface for internal assessment.  We have downloaded the MSP Interface (x86) setup file and executed it.  I runs cleanly until it hits the step for Installing Office Customization (CAClarityAddIn).  We are repeatedly gettting a SilentInstallAddin has stopped working message.  with the only option to 'close the program'.  The installation continues to proceed, but it doesn't seem to work as expected (MSP client initiated changes not getting saved back in Clarity).  Thus, i would like input if anyone has observed this same install / setup issue. 

 

We have attempted this with machines that have v13.3 connector already installed.

We have also attempt this after completely removing all MSP components (CA Clarity Addin, Schedule Connect, and MSP Interface clients).  And we get same SilentInstallAddin message.
