Concerning the movement of the license.itko.com server (IP address 38.96.241.69) to its new location (IP to be determined), the conversion between the servers will be transparent to all of the Clients that use DNS in their local.properties settings for the licensing.  The new IP address will be propagated to the Internet DNS servers which in turn will distribute to all nodes on the Internet.

Both the new and old servers will be up and available for an extended period of time.  CA Support will be monitoring the transfer of traffic from the old server to the new server.  After a month or so, if there are still LISA components active on the old server, emails will be sent to the License Key Holders registered in the license server requesting they “bounce” the specific hosts as recorded in the License Server Reports.

If the bouncing of the LISA components does not allow the license.itko.com name to resolve to the new IP address, Support will work further with the Clients and their IT staff if needed to make sure the issue is resolved.  After it is confirmed that all the LISA Licenses have migrated to the new Server’s IP, the old server will be deactivated.

Here is an excerpt of the notice that went out early:

"This is a release note that states that CA is consolidating the location of CA's Servers to a common location for greater maintainability and reliability. As a result, the current Internet Based License server is moving to a central CA location and hence their IP address will change. Henceforth, this is a notification for all the existing DevTest customers with hard coded IP addresses to move to the new GIS server’s IP address."
