  • 1.  CCR default port number

    Hi Guys

I cant seem to connect to the CCR URL from a remote machine. Could this be because of a port/firewall. My CCC and CCR are on different servers but all in the the same subnet. I am able to open the CCR URL from the CCC server and i believe its through port 80. I have never changed the port numbers since the installation.

I try to connect from my laptop to the CCR URL via port 80 but it doesn't work. I used the telnet command to test if port 80 is listening and it does connect so I don't think that this is a firewall problem. What is the default port number?

    Regards

    David

You are correct, CCR is by default on port 80 (it is an IIS hosted application).

What error are you getting from your browser – a 500 error, a 404 error, …?

    What URL are you using?

    ·         Just the server name: http://Myserver/

    ·         Server name + npc: http://Myserver/npc

    ·         Server name + ccr: http://Myserver/ccr - will NOT work, unless you have set it up on the server

Have you tried all the usual stuff like clearing browser cache and / or a different browser, just in case?

    Regards,

    Hi AdrianJohnsonUK

The error that I am receiving is: "This page cannot be displayed"

I just cleared the cache on both browsers (IE10 and Google Chrome) on my desktop and it still doesn't work. I have tested it on another colleagues PC and it works but not on my PC. He is running IE9.

    I use http://Myserver/npc

    Regards

Maybe add the fully qualified domain name to the "myserver" in case it's in a separate domain (if you are in a multi-domain environment).

Try pinging myserver to make sure that is good.

    Double check port #s (8181).

    Hope this helps

    Hi Jim

IP address, hostname and port are correct as they work on a different machine. My laptop and the CCR server are also in the same domain. Does CCR support internet explorer 10?

    Regards.

    David,

Did you try the IP address instead of a hostname in the CCR URL.

I have had many problems using newer versions of IE.

Firefox is best for CCC/DM/CCR - with the Adobe Flash operational in the browser.

Issue was with the firewall, David fixed it after working with the internal teams..
