    Hello,

Do we plan to support Universal Messaging of WebMethods with the WebMethods PowerPack of CA APM?

    http://www.softwareag.com/corporate/products/terracotta/in-memory_data_mgmt/products/universal_messaging/overview/default.asp

    Regards,

    Jerome

    Hi Jerome and Jonathan:

As of 2014, this was asked and not supported. I don't see it as a Field Pack. Also, if it is not in the Compatibility Guide, then it is likely not to be supported. Nothing with that name exists there

    Hope that helps .

I am marking this as assume answered you did not request a follow-up over some time. Please open a new question with new information if needing additional assistance

    Dear Manish:

I have asked on internal boards for someone from PM to respond. They are at least aware of it .

Will let the support team know as well tomorrow. Hope that helps

    Thanks

There is a supported extension for webMethods Universal Messaging. It's tested with 9.8 and 9.10. Please open a support ticket to get it as it is not available on the CA APM Marketplace (http://marketplace.ca.com/shop/ca/?cat=29), yet.

WebMethods 9.12 is supported as existing powerpack

Universal Messaging supports  as an extension. This is just pending Doc updates to make it available in marketplace. This is targeted to be completed by end of May.

So can I continue using java default agent v10.1 for webMethods v9.12 with UM and just add-on the PowerPack or do I need to upgrade to agent v10.5.1 (as well as APM infrastructure to v10.5.1)?

    Or

Do I need to install a stand along agent with that particular PowerPack and not use the java default agent? If so, which version?

    Thanks

Just add powerpack to any default Java agent. No dependency with agent version.

And Universal Messaging is a standalone extension. Just put agent.jar and other api jars

So, the standalone extension will work separately from the default java agent (will there be two separate agents)? Putting the standalone 'agent.jar' into the "wrapper.conf" along with other args for default java agent?

    Dear Manish:

I hope that Saroj's last two responses address your query from yesterday. Please let us know if they were helpful

Yes That's correct. UM will be monitored by standalone extension. We just need to put the Agent.jar along with required API jars from UM installation. To monitors Webmethods Integration Server (IS) we need to use default agent and enable the webMethod PowerPack.
