  • 1.  Clarity 14.2 Percentage Complete add Zeros to Tasks !!

    Hello Everybody:

     

    Here is the deal.

     

    Clarity 14.2

    Oracle Linux Server Release 6.6

    DB Oracle 11G

    This is an upgraded database from 14.1 to 14.2

     

    % Complete adds zeros:

     

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a new Project.
    2. Add tasks
    3. Change % Completed from 0 to any value for example 25

    3. Click Save and the value changes to 2,500%

    NOTE: Percentage Complete Calculation is set to Manual

    What is going on ? Thanks in advance for your ideas and inputs

    Have you tried to put .25, instead of 25 ?

    Problems like this (values multiplying by 100 or 1000) can occur when the OS system or OS user regional settings (depending on which account your services are running under) aren't set to English U.S., due to issues over parsing decimal and thousand separator character values.

     

    You might also try the temporary workaround used to try and confirm if this is the case, by adding the following JVM parameters to your app services in the CSA and restarting the app and trying again: -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US

    Thanks Nick. That was it. The language settings for the user who owns the app was set different than English US ... that was causing this odd behaivor.

    this has caused a lot of odd behavior in a lot of areas in Clarity since I started with version 7.5.2. I cannot wait until everything works with all languages.

     

    BTW: Timesheets as a few language issues.
