CA Client Automation provides the ability for organizations to create custom Software Categories to organize discovered, and discoverable software. This provides the opportunity to specify software that may be undesirable to have in the environment, for various reasons, and create a blacklist of those titles. Navigate to Software > Definitions > Categories. Create a custom category named Blacklist. You can drag and drop Software Products to your Blacklist category. The Blacklist Software Category can now be used for Queries, Policies, Groups and Reporting.

    Hi TMACUL,

You can also extend the concept of black listing software by using CA Client Automation to prevent execution of the black listed applications, i.e. use its Software Usage functionality and configure the number of allowed executions to 0 (zero) for these particular applications.

    Thanks,
