One of our end-users is using 'Export to excel (data only)' option present in the application to fetch data from PPM application. Every time the file gets downloaded in .xls format and when he tries to open the file it throws a following error message - 'The file you are trying to open is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?' (Error message attached) Thus preventing him from making an automation process impossible.
We believe this can be prevented if the file gets downloaded in .xlsx format. Do we have a resolution for this?
