  • 1.  Build Tool don't lunch

    I installed the new installation CA GEN8.5 on windows server 2012 then configure the installation  to work as CSE  when I try to run generation from the tool set  it fail to launch Build tool  and crashed I used Microsoft Visual Studio 2012

    You really need to report this to CA customer support.

     

    From your question, I'm not sure why you mentioned the CSE as it sounds like you are trying to do build from the toolset so the CSE has not bearing on the generation and build.

    John,

    I checked and the user did raise a case for this problem. It looks like the root cause is no Java runtime installed and required Gen 8.5 environment variable GEN85JRE not set. However from my testing that should not cause a toolset crash and the BT should just fail to launch with Error dialog "Could not open the install monitor"
