Hi All

I am trying to create a virtual service with some differences to the usual case.

I want the trigger to be when a file is dumped (arrives) in a folder.

Then depending on the contents of the file, I want the service to rename and move the file.

By this point, I would have the knowledge to continue with the rest of what I want done, but I can't seem to figure out a proper way to do what I want.

I have a screenshot below if the basic logic:

The ds_filename looks for files in a directory with a specific filename pattern.

Then, after reading the file, I would know the type of file.

I would then need to rename the file appropriately and archive it with a final step running some report on the file.

I have got the SFTP extension from CA if it could help me here (maybe).

My last resort I guess would be to use the execute external command step to run a command line command.

Anybody else done a similar thing with file movements and renaming after interrogation.
