The drop down box for the Project type is a limited list only going down to “Design”  we have many more projects types.  Our environment needs to be able to select additional project types (down to a lower level).

Do you mean the values in the static-dependant-lookup "Investment Type"?

Go to lookups ; find INV_TYPE ; go into the lookup properties and then to the "Values" tab ; look under "Project Investment" (you can add/remove the values there)

If you don't mean that, then perhaps a screen shot or a bit more explanation (attribute names/lookup names etc) would help us help you?

"...down to a lower level" could mean that a hierarchical project type list is needed.  For this, one would need to create a custom static-dependent lookup, rather than using the out of the box "Idea and Project Type" lookup.

We've been using our own static-dependent, hierarchical Project Type lookup for years, long before Ideas were introduced into Niku/Clarity/CA PPM.  I'd like to get back to a simpler, single level static Project Type lookup, allowing Ideas to pass their categorization onto our projects using the out of the box feature, but this is not high on our priority list.

BTW, Lisa, your last response seems to have been cut short, as it only includes "Yes," followed by your signature - the comma appears to indicate that you were going add something else.

We actually tested this in our Non Prod Environment, we would want to use the OOTB Project Type as opposed to the custom one we created. Dave is correct, you can add more values
