Hi,

We want to improve the use of the Task Management Module in our company and we have some problems with the "progress" attribute of the Project.

When the tasks of a Project progresses the "% complete" attribute of the project is correctly auto filled (images "Task List" and "Schedule & Performance" attached), but the "progress" attribute of the Project doesn't (image "Project Summary").

Is this attribute working correctly or there is something missing to make it automatic?

Can you change project "% Calculation Method" to Effort and give it a try again. Make sure all the the pending time is posted for all resources. And ETC's are zero for all assignees.

I think you will need a process to update this attribute.

You may consider hide this attribute from the project, if it does not add new information (it only reflects data from % complete).

We don't use assignment resource functionality by the moment, that's why we must keep the "% Calculation Method" attribute with "Duration" value.

Anyway, we appreciate your answer it helps us understand the "Progress" attribute behavior better.

So, if we decided to keep the "Progress" attribute we surely make a process to update it.

There is a job that runs called "Update % Complete% that is the process that automatically updates this.  If you want, it can be scheduled to run or run ad hoc.  You can find it in Reports and Jobs.  Leaving it Duration is fine.

We were testing that job, but it just update the "% complete" attribute.

We need to update automaticaly the progress one.
