Hello,

I now became very frequent visitor here and the comments really helping me out very much...

Question: We have offline reporting for Service desk R12.7 and we are moving out to R14.1 and will also have Catalog along with ServiceDesk.

I would like to have the Offline reporting, on the offline server do I need to install both catalog and service desk applications or install only Service Desk but publish entire MDB which will have USM tables.

I would request if we have any document for this configuration. thanks much!

Hi Sharath,

For out of the box CABI reporting needs, CA SDM universe requires CA SDM application layer. But Service Catalog CABI Reports does not depend on Catalog application layer.    Catalog CABI uses native SQL to connect to the MDB database.

This looks to be clear but put me in question, so to configure offline reporting for MDB, should I publish only sdm tables or entire MDB.?

For Catalog reporting to work properly, I believe you should replicate those tables too..

Im sure , many others have done this one but would need to know if have any practical challenges. I have plans to schedule to do this next weekend so may be come up with some more information.

However if anyone could give more details would be a good help.
