Is it possible to include digital signatures from customers for ticket requests or incidents within CA Service Desk Manager? I am currently using CA Service Desk Manager 12.6.
I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the request. Can you provide some details on a scenario where this digital signature would be used?
One scenario would be to track approvals for personnel to access software applications and systems.
(I was also just informed that attaching PDFs and/or Excel forms with digital signatures will suffice, so we can use attachments instead.)
Thank you for the information. The only thing I could think of is the creation of a custom field which can be populated with signature's key in a text format (which would have to be manually entered), but I don't know if this would provide you what you need, and also how secure the key information is supposed to be. Attachments seem like a good idea.
Thanks for the help! At this time, we are going to use attachments that will contain digital signatures. However, I will keep this in mind as a starting point in the event that I get a request to include it within the ticket itself.
Why don’t use a approval flow?
Does you environment have ITPAM or classic workflow installed, if so you can create new WF based on your required approval process it will elimintae the need of D.S. but if D.S. is needed you would need to consider on creating a new fields/attributs and it has to be included in the required forms/roles.
We do not currently have ITPAM installed, and there are no plans to install it at this time.
