Dear product management of CA PPM.
it is now week old news but still would be interested what is the strategy of CA in this regard?
Planview Acquires Troux to Provide IT Leaders with a Complete Solution for Managing the Strategy and Business of IT | Bu…
thanks for the feedback.
I don't see Troux on Gartner's magic quadrant, at all. So, why should Planview purchase Troux? Does Troux offer something uniquely better, or is this Planview just reducing competition and/or buying customers?
Also, looking at Troux site, its interesting to see how all these PPM providers have many of the same customers listed. Boeing, listed here, is also listed on Aurora's site. MetLife is listed on Troux, and yet MetLife hosted the CA PPM NYC UG meeting June 2014.
I would like to see CA purchase Aurora - finally get CCPM capabilities into CA PPM! Aurora-CCPM Multi-Project Critical Chain Project Management | Stottler Henke Associates, Inc.
oh yes, it is there and right in the Leaders quandrant, but it is EA tools magic qunadrant not the PPM tools:
I remember in CA World 2010 there was presentation showing the integration capabilities between Clarity and this tool.
When talking about true EPM you have to roadmap to future state integrated within EA and way to get there captured in your PPM tool, that is the only way to go...imho...
Interesting. "EA" is new to me and I'm not finding references to NPD - only IT. Anyone using EA, or have references to its use, in NPD environment?
Hi MiroS, Dale, and the CA PPM Community:
Thank you for posting. I appreciate your insights. We can say that CA doesn't just respond, we're recognizing and leading the application economy ahead and able to perform in a more robust manner that balances agility with security and reliability. As such you may interested in learning more about our recent acquisition of Rally as announced in the following global press release. I have been managing projects with cloud-based software for over a decade and CA/Rally is honestly the best performing cloud PPM/SAFe software available today. Hope you also find value ahead for your SAFe projects.
thank you for your response. It is definitely great news for the CA customers as Rally is according to Gartner also leader in its category which is Application Development Life Cycle Management
But I refer to Enterprise Architecture tools. Please check again the embedded graphics for the EA tool landscape to see what I meant as possible CA's response.
I mean if the first post's title would be that Planview acquires Attlassian than your response would be more relevant.
