I ask because our Organization is seeking to move from our legacy Clarity charge codes (we have 800+ today) to a 'new' set of condensed charge codes. While this sounds easy enough to simply uncheck the Charge Code Open for Time Entry property flag to prevent availability. In reality...we cannot do this as we have significant amount of global labor transactions each week being processed and there is some percentage of those that may need to be adjusted via Clarity TS. Clarity does not seem to like it if you attempt to adjust a timesheet where the original TS had entries with the Charge Code that you have removed Time Entry. The transactions seem to be processed but result in Invalid Transactions. Thus, you need to keep it enable for Time Entry to achieve adjustments for as long as that is necessary.
Has anyone ever overcome this or have a different strategy that has worked when an Organization attempts to remove or replace charge code(s)?
thanks in advance for your thoughts.
