07/09/2015 10:09:33 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariela - you can use CA PPM Partition Models to configure different page layouts and you can use the security model to segregate the data by organization using OBS security model

07/09/2015 10:12:27 AM from Michael Essex to Everyone:
Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to create new OBS structures besides the Dept & Location OBS. The purpose of a new OBS is to represent Business Capability in a hierachical fashion. Is this possible?
07/09/2015 10:13:26 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Michael - Yes, you can create more than one OBS model and associate with the Project or any other object ... this will show up on the general properties page as a new attribute in the OBS section.
07/09/2015 10:14:20 AM from John W George (CA Technologies) to Everyone:
@Rajesh - we would need some more information from you, so please log a support ticket concerning your issue with timesheets. thanks.
07/09/2015 10:14:25 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariela - we do not support multi-tenency
07/09/2015 10:15:29 AM from mariela to Everyone:
but, a simulation or something?
07/09/2015 10:15:49 AM from mariela to Everyone:
with the partitions, or obs?
07/09/2015 10:16:21 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariela - please restate your question ; I do not fully understand
07/09/2015 10:16:32 AM from Joshua Leone to Everyone:
@Mariela... what is the use case you are trying to solve?
07/09/2015 10:17:32 AM from John W George (CA Technologies) to Everyone:
@Michael - please see this link to a topic on the CA PPM DocOps platform which discusses OBS. Hope this helps! https://wiki.ca.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=206822531
07/09/2015 10:18:19 AM from mariela to Everyone:
I have two organizations and I want to work independently, a data not see each other, but I wonder if it can be done with obs and partitions?
07/09/2015 10:19:03 AM from Terry B. to Everyone:
Anyone experiencing long upgrade times (13.3 - 14.2)? The CLEANUP_CLARITY_FOR_DWH.xml section
07/09/2015 10:20:46 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariela - Yes, you can use both OBS for security to control what data is seen and access and you can use Partition Model to configure how the pages are displayed and what information is available to see and edit on the pages.
07/09/2015 10:22:48 AM from John W George (CA Technologies) to Everyone:
@Terry B - This depends on the data you have, so we'd like to suggest that you post something on the Community about this. You'll be able to hear from others and real-world experience about this. hope this helps.
07/09/2015 10:23:33 AM from Michael Essex to Everyone:
When using Partitioning, can you have separate processes for each partition? For example can you have 2 demand/idea intake processes?
07/09/2015 10:23:53 AM from Terry B. to Everyone:
@John W George - that's a good suggestion. Thanks
07/09/2015 10:24:34 AM from John W George (CA Technologies) to Everyone:
@Terry B - welcome!
07/09/2015 10:25:07 AM from mariela to Everyone:
I am new using clarity, the obs function as the organizational structure of an organization?
07/09/2015 10:25:20 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Michael -- Checking ; i don't think you can use 'partition' for workflow processes , but you could use an identifying attribute that is segrated for use only by specific partition units
07/09/2015 10:26:44 AM from John W George (CA Technologies) to Everyone:
@Mariela - please see this link to a topic on the CA PPM DocOps platform which discusses OBS. Hope this helps! https://wiki.ca.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=206822531
07/09/2015 10:27:51 AM from Michael Essex to Everyone:
@Kathryn -- So in your suggestion, if I understand correctly, this attribute would be used to determine the path of a single workflow process? (aka but both 'processes' together)
07/09/2015 10:28:28 AM from Schneider François to Everyone:
@Chris, sorry but I can't join the call, which number to dial?
07/09/2015 10:30:32 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:
@Francois - I'll send you an email
07/09/2015 10:32:46 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Michael - on the start condition, evaluate the 'Partition' attribute - therefore you might have 2 processes and if the Partition Attribute values = UnitA, then auto-start it for process #1, then for process #2, check if Partition Attribute value = UnitB... and so on
07/09/2015 10:33:47 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:
Any more questions folks?
07/09/2015 10:36:43 AM from Schneider François to Everyone:
Hi, when using the EV history feature, when does the history job should populate the history table?
07/09/2015 10:36:48 AM from Chris Hackett (CA) to Everyone:
We'll give it a few more minutes for questions...going...going...
07/09/2015 10:37:34 AM from Donna to Everyone:
Is there a way to create a process where all timesheets need to be approved by a resource manager?
07/09/2015 10:39:54 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Donna - yes, there should be a stock workflow process (Timesheet Approval) that can be modified to suit your needs
07/09/2015 10:40:33 AM from Janet to Everyone:
Any recommendation on whether to seperate the DWH in 14.2 onto a seperate DB server or not? Why?
07/09/2015 10:40:34 AM from Martti Kinnunen to Everyone:
@Mariela Bear in mind if the security not to see the other data is absolute partitions, OBS and security can't do that. There is alwas possiblity for system and human errors, mishaps, leaks in security and investigative users. If the rquirement is absolute then it has to be two separate installations
07/09/2015 10:40:38 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Schneider - we need to look at our documentation and see if there is more information that can be added for answering this question
07/09/2015 10:41:56 AM from mariela to Everyone:
when I create a project charter can attach a arvhivo, but when it comes to the reviewer, does not see an attachment, how can I change this?
07/09/2015 10:42:20 AM from Donna to Everyone:
@Janet I've been working at it in Dev but it does not seen to sending out the notifications.
07/09/2015 10:42:35 AM from Schneider François to Everyone:
when running a portlet with a NSQ request, the portlet shows only the first 50,000 rows. How to show more rows?
07/09/2015 10:43:16 AM from mariela to Everyone:
when I create a project charter can attach a file, but when it comes to the reviewer, does not see an attachment, how can I change this?
07/09/2015 10:43:24 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Janet - DWH is support in both configurations ; there is some more details in our documentation. We recommend chosing to separate the DWH
07/09/2015 10:44:46 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariela - Check the configuration of the Project Collaboration folders to allow Non-Participants to access documents when the user is not a participant on the project and check the user has the right security access rights
07/09/2015 10:45:20 AM from Janet to Everyone:
@Kathryn - Is that due to performance reasons? Is there documentation that supports the seperation? (Trying to build the business case for the infrastructure expense)
07/09/2015 10:46:41 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariela - check out the following technical article for more details : How To Configure Collaboration Folders and Documents for Non-Participants

07/09/2015 10:47:48 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Schneider - this limitation is due to a system row limitation. It is not configurable. Perhaps consider creating a report.
07/09/2015 10:48:06 AM from Schneider François to Everyone:
Yes, thank you!
07/09/2015 10:49:42 AM from Tina Mastrobuono (CA) to Everyone:

07/09/2015 10:53:12 AM from Kathryn Ellis (CA) to Everyone:
@Mariella - i see you are adding a file to an attachment attribute ; this should work for people with access to the project. Please log a case with support for more help
07/09/2015 10:53:28 AM from mariela to Everyone:

07/09/2015 10:54:15 AM from Martti Kinnunen to Everyone:
@Mariela - check the rights again.
07/09/2015 10:54:33 AM from mariela to Everyone:
