    Hello Folks,

We have requirement from one of the customer where he wants an alert whenever there is a change in the file system permissions for a user / group / others. Bascially a chmod command execution.

Can sysedge generate a trap for the same?

    Thanks

This cannot be done completely out of the box, but could be implemented via a MIB Extension... A script would need to be written to monitor what you need accordingly and then SysEDGE would execute that script and return a status/trap accordingly based on the results.

While not comprehensive, there are some basic examples in the Bookshelf. If you need further details about the MIB Extension, I would recommend opening a support case, referencing this thread.

    Regards,

    Sean
