I am installing Pim 12.9 linux version. All the pre-requisists go well but during installation its gets stuck in between for hours without prompting for error
I wonder what can be the issue
Thanks in advance
CentOS is not a certified build for R12.9
You can open an idea / product enhancement request for certification of Cent OS as well.
Thanks and Regards,
Do you see any error in the PIM install log file?
Any thing in the OS message log file?
Are you installing by logging in as root user or you are surrogating to root user and performing the installation?
Make sure that you are installing on a certified OS build (Only Redhat Linux is certified).
Thanks for replying!!
I have checked all the logs and everything
Just for the testing purpose we are trying to install PIM12.9 on CentOs as RHEL and CentOs has the same kernal
How can I do that I mean product enhancement request
Thanks and Regards
You can post this as an idea in here only (I mean in the communities itself). Depending upon the number of votes the idea gets, it would be taken forward.
Thanks Reatesh for all the information shared
Have a great day !
Adding another answer: IF you try with redhat and you get stuck also installing, try to do it from a remote session for instance via putty and install from there.. there is a bug in the installer that gets stuck installing from the same machine.
