Business Objects Reporting Error

    Hi guys,

I have a couple of users who are getting an error when trying to run Reports.

RPT-0014: Unable to retrieve the report information from reporting server. Please check that user has the required rights on reports folder.

So far I have ensured that the CSP biar file is imported. When I go into the CMC -> CA Reports -> CA Clarity I do see the CSP folder and all of the reports are available.

When I checked the logs I see this error appearing:

    ERROR 2015-07-13 10:28:56,559 [http-bio-8080-exec-2585] xql2.xbl (clarity:X197985:199907898__692E1333-F86F-4805-8B5B-6DDDC8DAE691:nmc.executeAvailReport) reporting.reportDataRetrieveError ::java.lang.Exception: reporting.reportDataRetrieveError

    then

Caused by: com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.URIParserException$InvalidPathNode: The path node '*' does not exist in the repository.

I checked the Users/Groups in the CMC and I have added the 'Everyone' group to the CA Reports Author group.

But the users are still getting the same error. Would the SIA need to be restarted for the access to kick in?

    Hi Suman,

I tried that and now the Crystal Report does open - but an error message appears:

An error has occurred: An error occurred while trying to view the document

I am going to compare permissions with one of our other environments which is working.

    Hi Colin

Can you login to Cmc and check if all the servers are running?

I Suman, I re-applied the permissions to the Reports and now they are opening correctly.

One thing I have noticed in the jobs dashboard is that our daily job, Update Business Objects Reports Tables is failing.

I've checked the logs but cannot find anything relating to this job failure.

Do you know where else I could find the cause of this job failure?

Ah I see it now in the bg log file:

I have not set up DWH or Jaspersoft yet in this environment.

So you are in 14.2 correct, then please set up the entity and then run the update business object job?

    Yes the environment is 14.2

I have a separate server built for DWH so I need to get SQL Server 2012 installed there and the DWH configured. Once I get this work done I'll retry the job.

    Thanks!

    Hi Colin,

you don't need to set up the data ware house schema, go to clarity administration and system options --> Data ware house Option and set the language and entity
