Upgrade CA PPM 12.1.3 to 14.2 - Stuck at PRCALENDAR (CalendarSQLCurveUpgrade)

Hi guys,

I'm trying to upgrade a Clarity database 12.1.3 to 14.2.

My environment is on Windows Server 2008R2 - SQL Server 2008R2 - Clarity 12.1.3 (8 Go, 4 cores, 50 Go fs).

The database is quite small : only 1500 projects / 1500 resources.

Everything's going fine to 13.3. But then the upgrade is stuck at the update of the resource calendars : adding SQL Curve on the prcalendar table ( great feature by the way ).

The problem is located on the file :

At the step :

    upgrade prcalendar to create sql curves for each prvalue
  <target name="calendarupgrade">
    <echo message="Upgrading PRCALENDAR"/>
    < classname="" fork="true" failonerror="true"

I've tried the following things :

  • Allocate more memory for the upgrade process by adding the file $NIKU_HOME/config/
  • Change the property fork to "false" in the upgrade process

But still no improvement : the java process is stuck, its allocated memory is just decreasing slowly.

Don't know if it's the combination Java / Windows or Java / SQL Server which causes the problem ?

The only thing I could do is kill the process and restart the installation "install.bat force" (resume doesn't work on this release).

Doesn't seem to cause any problem at the end.

Could use some advice.

Thx in advance,
