Most of the Linux flavors support Net-SNMP. But, yes, you can install SystemEDGE agent and use it to monitor a process.

Consult if your Linux flavor is supported.

    Thank you for the reply.

Does that particular process needs to support SNMP to monitor it through CA Spectrum?

As an example if I need to monitor DHCP service does my DHCP service needs to support SNMP or OS in that server with an SNMP agent like Net-SNMP is enough to monitor that service?

    Thanks in advance

To monitor with Spectrum yes you need an snmp agent of some type. Net-SNMP or System Edge or something similar.
